2017 and a new year to love life and be creative! I have not been hibernating the winter away. Oh no! I have been ripping wool and hooking and conjuring up new things for you. More on that very soon.
A new thing on my blog is that button to the right that says click here to make a donation to my blog. It is for those of you who would like to support my efforts as an artist and blog writer with a monetary donation.
In my ongoing research I have been learning about how other bloggers put ads on their blog in order to keep their businesses afloat. I considered this option. Perhaps I will revisit it at a later time. But for now I find the ads to be very distracting (My blog site, WordPress, puts an ad on my blog that I get no compensation for. In order to remove it I would have to pay them money each month).
So I came up with another option for those of you who come to this blog and would like to contribute donations to my work here. The button will be there, and you can pick your giving amount. Know that any amount will be appreciated. Obviously there is no obligation.
The past month or so I have been trying to reclaim my studio space, as at times it becomes the place to put stuff. Believe it or not I successfully cleared off this table. For awhile!
Another thing that I have been doing is working on putting all of my books, supplies and patterns on my Etsy store.
This has been a daunting task, but I think that I am done. That is unless I missed one! Below is Lavender Purse and Peony Purse patterns.
I also have made some of your favorite paper patterns into PDF instant downloadable patterns, such as the Hearts & Bunnies pattern set, which includes Bunny Love which is at the top of this post.
I want to thank those of you who have bought my patterns and supplies on Etsy, and attend my workshops. You have kept me in business for 17 years now.
I have actually been blogging for 5 years. Readers, know that your mere presence here on my blog, reading and commenting is a special gift to me.
I hope that in 2017 we will craft another year together, inspiring and encouraging each other.
Well, I must stop for tea. Perhaps I will look through my cherished used copy of Perfect English Cottage by Ros Byam Shaw and just notice all the wonderful pillows festooned everywhere! Sigh!
Be inspired ~ Karen
